Our Leaders

Prophetess Beverly Lewis experienced the presence of GOD at a very young age and gave her life to Christ.  As she grew in her faith, she felt GOD calling her into a deeper relationship with Him.  She desperately sought His heart; He imparted multiple gifts, which enabled her to operate as an intricate part of the fivefold ministry with a primary call to the office of Prophet.

In 1995, Prophetess Lewis’ ministry grew by leaps and bounds and GOD imparted and impregnated her spirit with a divine seed that birthed two ministries.  The first ministry, called Women of Divine Destiny (to help push women into their divine purpose and destiny).  The second ministry, called the GAP Ministries (to teach others how to have an effective prayer life, and to stir the flames of fire to intercede on behalf of others).

In 2007, God led Prophetess Lewis to begin the Young Women of Divine Destiny (to empower young women in every area of their lives to be able to fulfill the mission of reach one, touch one, & save one).

In 2009, God also led Prophetess Lewis to launch the Empowering for Life weekly telecast on WHNO channel 20 and WUPL my 54 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Then in 2014, GOD moved again and brought forth the Empowering for Life Prophetic Ministries Church, were she operates as Overseer and Prophet.  She is the author of 2 Prayer Manuals, The Prayer Empowerment Workbook and the School of the Watchmen.

She served under the late Prophet Robert C. Blakes, Sr. of the New Home Full Gospel Ministries for many years.  She served as an Elder, Intercessor and assistant to the Man of God and flowed with him in body ministry.  She is a part of the Family of Churches Fellowship International where she is under the covering of Bishop Robert C. Blakes Jr.

Prophetess Beverly Lewis is a native of New Orleans, La.  She and her husband, Herbert Lewis, Jr. are the parents of three sons, Tyrone, Herbert III, and Eric.  GOD has enlarged her territory and out of the increase, she has two daughter-in-laws and six grandchildren.
