• Called to the nations to minister, preach and teach the LORD, JESUS CHRIST and HIS Gospel to those in darkness.

• Serve as a vessel where the Love of GOD can flow to those who are broken, wounded and hurting.

• Called to the ministry of Reconciliation, using the WORD to reveal to individuals, who GOD is. Thereby restoring them to a place of intimacy with GOD, to come into the knowledge of their Divine Purpose and Destiny. 

• Empowering them for everyday life through the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit to walk in Kingdom Power; through practical teaching & impartation.

 

PURPOSE:

• Called to introduce and exemplify the awesome power of GOD’s anointing.

• Called to minister compassion to those who are wounded and hurting.

• Called to reach one, touch one, save one and encourage one.

• Called to reveal the following truths:

 

We are not purposed to live a life of defeat because we are more than conquerors through CHRIST JESUS. (Romans 8:37)

To reach out to those who are struggling with bondage, loneliness and oppression. (Luke 4:18-19)

CHURCH HISTORY:

At a very young age, Prophetess Lewis experienced the presence of God and invited Him into her life. As she grew in her faith, she felt God calling her into a deeper relationship with him. As she desperately sought his heart HIS imparted multiple gifts, which enables her to operate as an intricate part of the fivefold ministry with a primary call to the office of Prophet.

   

In 1995, God gave a special impartation and impregnated her spirit with a divine seed that birthed two ministries. The first ministry is 'Women of Divine Destiny (to help push women into their divine purpose and destiny); and The GAP Ministries (to teach others how to have an effective prayer life, and to stir the flames of fire to intercede on behalf of others).

   

In 2007, God led Prophetess Lewis to begin 'Young 'Women of Divine Destiny whose purpose was to empower young women in every area of their lives so they would be able to go back and fulfill the mission of reach one, touch one, & save one. At this time a weekly bible study was established and held in the garage of our Pastors' house. As the ministry grew, it began using the Faith Presbyterian Church facilities to host weekly bible studies, prayer conferences, the prayer floor, youth explosions and numerous other Kingdom building events.

   

In 2009, the launching of the Empowering for Life weekly telecast on WUPL my 54 radio station in 'New Orleans, Louisiana began.  Then in “due time” in 2014, God unlocked the seal, set the place and brought forth the Empowering for Life Prophetic Ministries Church. On April 20th, Easter Sunday of 2014 they assembled for the 1st worship service. During the last year, Empowering for Life Prophetic Ministries has been actively discipling, teaching, and perfecting the saints for the work of the ministry. 'With a quest to be about the Father's Business, EFLPM has hosted activities like street witnessing, tent revivals, prayer and prophetic conferences.

 

As declared in Jeremiah 3:15 King James Version (KJV), 15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. God in HIS awesomeness has honored His word in blessing the 'Empowering for Life Prophetic Ministries with Pastor Herbert Lewis, Jr., and Prophetess Beverly Lewis.

 

They both possess the spirit of humility and compassion, yet they exemplify and pursue the spirit of Excellence in everything God places in their hands. They have traveled near and far to empower God’s people and preach the gospel. Prophetess Lewis is the author of two books, 'The Prayer Empowerment Workbook” and 'The School of the Watchmen".

 

They are divinely blessed to be the parents of three sons, Tyrone, Herbert III, and Eric. God has enlarged their territory and out of the increase, they have two daughter-in-laws, Rashad and Cierra and six beautiful grandchildren. They are the owner of two businesses, HB Ventures and 3 'Eagles LLC.

 

They are also faithful members of the New Home Full Gospel Ministries; which serves as the Spiritual covering for 'Empowering for Life Prophetic Ministries.
